Sammy Touaibia

GENERAL INFORMATION

Sammy Touaibia, joined the Laval Materials and polymers team in February 2022. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, as well as a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Université de Montréal. His knowledge includes the characterization of polymers, and plastic treatment processes.

EXPERTISE

As a forensic engineer, Sammy carries out technical investigations and writes expert reports. The files entrusted to him deal with analysis of rupture, performance, degradation, or contamination of materials. In addition, he carries out various tests and research in the laboratory. Sammy has a particular interest in investigations involving polymer and plastic materials, and chemical processes. In the past, he participated in the research and development of processes for recycling plastic materials, specifically electronic waste. He has an increased knowledge of several processes for the recovery of plastic materials.
