Under the supervision of the Chief of Operations, the advisor is responsible for all activities related to staffing, performance evaluation, global compensation, employee relations and organizational development for this pan-Canadian group of 9 offices.

Main responsibilities

  • Coordinates and assist the welcoming and integration of new employees;
  • Ensures the application of laws and standards related to human resources (working conditions, occupational health and safety, human rights, employment equity);
  • Advises managers on the management of their resources and the application of company policies and procedures;
  • Ensures sound management of transfers of RRSPs to the financial institution;
  • Act as a resource person for employees: inform them about programs, group insurance, retirement savings plan, the company’s policies and procedures and answers their questions;
  • Coordinates annual performance appraisal, salary review and bonus processes: ensure the production and dissemination of communication tools, prepare spreadsheets, follow up with managers and assist them in this process, ensure respect of allocated budgets;
  • Advises managers to support their decision-making and suggests opportunities for improvement in their area of activity;
  • Maintain the Human Resources Information System (SalesForce-HCM);
  • Coordinate and participate in the full staffing process (needs analysis, job description writing, posting, curriculum vitae sorting, telephone interview, selection interview, salary analysis, contract writing and probation period follow-up).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management;
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a human resources generalist;
  • Have experience in an SME (an asset)
  • Bilingualism (English / French, oral and written);
  • Rigor, meticulousness and attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage time and priorities;
  • Developed interpersonal skills and in-house customer service;
  • Discretion (confidentiality of information);
  • Computer skills (Google Suite)
