GENERAL INFORMATION

Andrew holds multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering, including a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Engineering. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta. In his 20 years with CEP, Andrew has technically assessed collision circumstances, vehicle and occupant dynamics, collision severity, vehicle pre-impact & post-impact speeds, causes of automobile component failure, occupant seat belt usage and effectiveness, evasion potential and visibility conditions. Andrew has also been involved in numerous investigations related to evaluating slip resistance, code and regulation requirements, fire cause and origin, fire growth and risk mitigation.

 

EXPERTISE

Andrew has been involved in over 3000 motor vehicle collision investigations, and numerous fire and failure related investigations. He has appeared in court 11 times as an expert witness. As a professional engineer, he specializes in the investigation and reporting for insurance claims and litigations for law firms, insurers and insurance adjusters. His experience includes investigations related to slip/trip/fall incidents, friction testing, motor vehicle accident reconstruction, vehicle-related defects, personal property, fires and other risk assessments.
