GENERAL INFORMATION
Nicolas Rousseau joined the multidisciplinary team of CEP in February 2011. Nicolas holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, obtained at École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal in 2008. He completed his technical degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing option, at the Cegep Limoilou of Quebec in 2004. Nicolas has also gained considerable experience in mechanical engineering for heavy vehicles.
EXPERTISE
As a forensic engineer, Nicolas conducts investigations in the field of mechanical engineering, more specifically regarding broken components or fires of various types of vehicles, such as cars, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery, forestry machinery, recreational vehicles, etc. In addition, he did a training course at l’École de technologie gazière, enabling him to conduct investigations on incidents involving equipment operating on natural or propane gas. Nicolas conducts on-site investigations and prepares forensic reports targeting the origin and cause of incidents. He also carries out laboratory tests and simulations to verify hypotheses on the nature and cause of accidents.
