Alexandre Provencher

GENERAL INFORMATION

Alexandre Provencher completed his studies at McGill University in 2010 and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Specialised in structural and geotechnical engineering, he is currently undertaking graduate studies at École Polytechnique de Montréal. Alexandre also studied project management through the completion of a minor in Construction Engineering and Management. His field experience as a site inspector for municipal infrastructure rehabilitation as well as with the Quality Assurance department at SNC-Lavalin give him a strong comprehension of the Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes required in the vast domain of engineering and construction.

EXPERTISE

As a forensic engineer, Mr. Alexandre Provencher carries out on-site investigations and prepares forensic reports.  He also performs numerical modelling and analyses to verify hypotheses on the nature and cause of a failure.  He is frequently called upon to provide general recommendations or detailed specifications on the corrective work required as part of the rehabilitation of damaged structures.

As of today, he has performed more than 1,200 investigations and has been recognized as an expert witness in numerous court cases.
