GENERAL INFORMATION

Benjamin Merwin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor. He specializes in fire origin and cause and mechanical failure investigations, and has worked on a variety of projects including vehicle, equipment and structure fires, as well as plumbing, heating and other mechanical and technical failures. Benjamin is also well versed in equipment failures for industrial, farm and oil and gas applications.

 

EXPERTISE

Benjamin has extensive experience in fire investigation techniques and has completed a number of reports on vehicle, equipment and structure fires. In addition, he has completed several continuing education courses related to origin and cause analysis of vehicle and structure fires. Benjamin also has a background in Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstruction involving heavy duty and commercial tractor trailers. His understanding of how fires develop and spread, as well as mechanical processes has led to the successful resolution of many fire, failure, and accident reconstruction related claims.
