GENERAL INFORMATION
Éric Babin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal, since 1992. He also obtained a technical diploma in Civil Engineering from the Collège de Rimouski in 1989. As a forensic civil engineer, Éric conducts investigations at disaster sites and prepares expert reports to identify the cause of damages and assess their extent.
EXPERTISE
Before joining the CEP team in 2024, Éric worked from 1993 to 2009 as the director of a consulting engineering firm specializing in disaster expertise in Rimouski. From 2009 to 2024, he served as a project management engineer at Hydro-Québec for projects primarily carried out in remote areas. The majority of his experience is in legal expertise and construction project management. He has been recognized as an expert witness in court.
