GENERAL INFORMATION
As National Corporate Practices Manager, Mr. Éric Chainé has the mandate to maximize knowledge sharing between experts and skill development.
EXPERTISE
As a forensic engineer, Éric carries out on-site investigations and prepares expert reports. He does also conduct laboratory examinations and experiments to test hypotheses on the root cause of incidents being investigated. He is mainly involved in electrical-related cases, such as structure fires, product failures and power equipment breakdowns. Éric is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) from the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) from the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).
He has carried out over 1 800 investigations and has been recognized as an expert witness in numerous court cases.
