Jamie Shandley

GENERAL INFORMATION

Jamie Shandley has used his expertise in structural engineering all over the world. After graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 2004, Jamie began his career by designing multi-storey wood framed apartment buildings throughout the UK. He later worked on the design of steel, masonry, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and composite buildings and structures. In 2010 he moved to Australia and focused on forensic investigations, including the analysis of structures impacted by natural disasters as well as construction and design defects. These analytical skills, coupled with his design experience, makes Jamie a unique asset to our Vancouver office, since he can not only assess the stability and failure modes of a structure, but is also extremely familiar with building methods and best practices.

As a forensic engineer, Jamie Shandley specializes in the investigation of structures damaged in various types of incidents. This includes structural failures, construction issues, fire damaged buildings, code compliance and constructability issues.
