Jason Edelstein is a professional engineer with over 16 years of experience. Having conducted over 2,000 building condition assessments of industrial, commercial, institutional and residential properties, Jason has been exposed to a wide range of building system components and deteriorations. Although he has a solid understanding of building structures and systems, he has extensive expertise in moisture migration through building envelopes.
EXPERTISE
With a bachelor’s and master’s degree in building engineering, and experience as a designer, specification writer and construction contract administrator, Jason is familiar with recognized and accepted industry practices, and possible issues that may develop with envelope assemblies. This experience along with his research into building envelope performance gives Jason an excellent understanding of roof and wall assembly behaviour in a wide variety of conditions.
