GENERAL INFORMATION
Marc-André Morel holds a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in laboratory methodology with a specialization in analytical chemistry as well as a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Université du Québec à Montréal. To complement his academic training in the field of fire investigation, he completed a certificate in building electricity at Polytechnique Montreal. Throughout his career, Marc-André has been able to provide technical and scientific support to investigators and specialists from several police forces in Quebec for criminal investigation files. He has also testified in court as an expert witness in several cases.
EXPERTISE
As a forensic investigator, Marc-André carries out on-site technical investigations to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding a fire. His laboratory knowledge in the areas of fire debris analysis, the synthesis and analysis of explosives and analytical chemistry techniques allow him to verify his hypotheses and field observations.
