Warren Sanhye
M. A. Sc., P.Eng. | Regional Manager, Montreal | Forensic Engineer
Specialties: Materials & Metallurgy, Chemistry
GENERAL INFORMATION
Warren Sanhye joined the Materials & Metallurgical Engineering team of Laval in May 2015. Warren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering – specialization polymer science – from École Polytechnique de Montréal, as well as a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the same institution. His area of expertise includes polymers and plastic manufacturing processes.
EXPERTISE
As a forensic engineer, Warren carries out on-site investigations and prepares expert reports. Before joining CEP, he built up experience in the physico-chemical characterization of polymers. He was involved in the research and development of new polymer formulations and has solid knowledge in terms of polymer processing, especially in injection molding and extrusion.
FIELDS OF EXPERTISE
- Materials – Polymers/plastics
- Failure analysis
- Characterization of polymers/plastics
- Polymer chemistry
- Premature degradation of polymer materials
- Material properties and testing (polymers, composites, adhesives, rubbers)
- Coatings performance: paints, dyes solvents
- Polymer processing
- Analysis of thermoset polymers (epoxy, polyurethanes, etc.)
