On the Job
David Little has spent the last thirty-five years working as a forensic engineer, specializing in motor vehicle collision reconstruction. His home base is the Vancouver office where a typical day finds him examining vehicles and collision sites, downloading EDRs, analyzing dash cameras, intersection/surveillance videos and GPS devices.
Each file brings a unique opportunity to learn more. With the ever-increasing amount of data now stored in vehicles, David’s thirst to solve the puzzles helps him unravel the clues and find the answers. He’s driven by the need to provide a sense of understanding for his clients and the people who have suffered from a car accident.
Around the Office
Although he hasn’t been able to work from the office for a long time, David’s at-home filing system may be unorthodox, some may even consider it messy, but it works for him. It allows him to always be ready to help colleagues and answer any of their questions.
Outside Work
When not tracking down the cause of accidents, David has spent the last thirteen years on the pitch as a soccer coach. He also spends his time mountain and road biking so he can keep up with his kids. As a family, they spend winters skiing and summers camping by rivers to enjoy the occasional cast of a fishing rod.
