Claudia Blandford
M.E.Sc., P.Eng. | Forensic Engineer
Specialties: Biomechanical Engineering & Injury, Mechanical Engineering, Collision Reconstruction
GENERAL INFORMATION
Claudia gained her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia in 2011, and an M.E.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario in 2014. Her Master’s centred around the vibrational response of the head to impacts, which has provided her with exceptional knowledge regarding injury and biomechanics. Claudia has performed a wide variety of investigations, including collision reconstruction, biomechanical and injury assessments, fire origin and cause investigations and failure analysis.
EXPERTISE
Claudia investigates motor vehicle collisions involving multiple vehicles, motorcycles, ATVs, pedestrians, and low speed impacts. Claudia also works within the property group of CEP Forensic, involved in fire cause and origin determinations, failure analysis, assessment of equipment malfunctions, as well as the evaluation of engineering reports from other firms.
Claudia specializes in the biomechanics of injury at CEP, focusing on the biomechanical evaluation of injury mechanisms in motor vehicle collisions, work place incidents, among others.
